School History
In 1974, the V.I.P. Black Belt Champions Training Center, which was then known as V.I.P. Martial Arts Academy, was officially opened in Deer Park, New York. Even though the facility was only 900 square feet, its membership quickly grew, requiring a larger location! V.I.P. then moved to North Babylon into a 2,400 square foot facility. While in North Babylon, the academy continued to grow and the reputation of "Black Belt Excellence" did as well. In the early years of V.I.P., much emphasis was placed on Karate tournaments. We are proud to say that numerous students became regional and national champions! In 1992, V.I.P. relocated once again (to Deer Park) to a more visible and larger location (6,000sf). In 2003 while operating a very successful dojo in New York, V.I.P. Black Belt Champions expanded once again by opening a 4,000sf facility in sunny Trinity, Florida! Even though the academy has needed to relocate and expand at various times, the professionalism, caring and excellent reputation has remained constant! Students at V.I.P. train in an eclectic art, which combines karate, Muay Thai, jiu jitsu and arnis. In 2007 the New York location was sold so that the master instructor could devote his undivided attention to his one location in New Port Richey, Florida. In late 2007, V.I.P. Black Belt Champions Training Center once again saw a great opportunity and purchased it’s own building in Odessa/Trinity, Florida! The present home of V.I.P. Black Belt Champions is over 5,500sf, has two large fully air-conditioned matted and mirrored training floors, a state of the art audio/video system to enhance the performance level of all classes. Enrollments are consistent and the courteous staff of black belt instructors has never been more professional! It’s no wonder that all our students rave “V.I.P.
